Events
In addition to our monthly Try The Fly™ sessions (usually held on Saturdays), we host two fantastic events each year — one in May and one in September — open to both members and non-members.
These are always popular, well-attended days with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, set at our beautiful lakes in East Tuddenham.
Each event includes a full programme of activities, including live music, a charity raffle and auction, and a superb sit-down buffet and BBQ — all included in the ticket price. It’s exceptional value at just £15 per adult and £10 for under 18s.
For those who would like to fish, there’s also the opportunity to catch and take home two trout, making it a great day whether you’re an angler or simply looking for something different to enjoy.

We also hold a fun match during the year - the President's Trophy, which entails a three-hour session with a change of numbered swim every half an hour. BUT...only one fly is allowed which must be produced at the start and the end of the match - lose it mid-match and your fish won't count. Just a bit of fun, a great afternoon out, and a chance for members to meet up and have a natter.
We attend by invitation each year The East Anglian Game Fair where we are delighted to welcome World Champion Hywel Morgan to the stand. We also attend The Aylsham Show, and the Sandringham Game Fair where we promote The Society, promote Try The Fly sessions and demonstrate and/or give free casting lessons.
